Before you begin, copy all the text you received from Dennis Stegmann into a plain text editor.

Proofread and gently edit the text. Create a lede (first sentence or two) and body text, and separate out the video URL and the Source clearly. Your final plain text doc could look something like this: http://wiki.kdhx.org/wiki/File:St-music-notes-plain-text.jpg

Log in to the back end of KDHX.org: http://kdhx.org/administrator

Click on Items.

Sort by St. Louis Music Notes from the drop down menu.

Click the box by the top item in the list.

Click Copy from the upper menu. You'll now see a copy of the article in the list.

Click on the title of the item to open it in the editor.

Change the title to reflect the new title of the article, as emailed to you by Dennis.

Delete the old alias from the title alias field.

Delete the old artist name tag and genre tag, and put in the relevant ones.

Paste in the lede (first sentence or two) from the plain text doc using the Paste as Plain Text icon.

Add the KDHX tag link by copying this raw URL, highlighting the name the of the artist in the lede, and inserting the raw URL with the Link chain icon.

index.php?option=com_k2&lang=en&tag=name&task=tag&view=itemlist

Change "name" in that URL to the artist name: First+Last

Make sure there isn't an extra space at the end of the URL. Click OK to insert the link.

Go down to the Fulltext window and paste in the body text and the source, again using the Paste as Plain Text icon.

Add link to the source as relevant using the Link chain icon.

At this point, you should click Apply to save your changes. Make sure Featured and Published are set at No and then click Apply. Page will refresh and display your changes.

Click on Metadata Information on the right. Copy and paste in the lede for the Description.

For Keywords, change the artist name and add any relevant genres and/or remove any irrelevant genres.

Click on Media. Paste in the YouTube video code sequence. These are the numbers after the v= in the YouTube video URL Dennis sent you.

Make sure Featured and Published are set at No and then click Apply. Page will refresh and you should see your changes made.

You may now log off.
