Johnny's Producer Notes (needs revision here)

Step 1 Create new Protools session titled: Year-Month-Day (that the show originally aired) MMGR for PRX

Step 2 Click go, connect to server, select server 2, password is kdhxfm88. Select on air recordings. Click on the “Musical Merry-Go-Round” folder and drag the files dated for the show you will be working on to the desktop.

Step 3 Drag the audio files from the desktop into the audio folder of the project you are working on, and then into the protools session, place hour one in one track, and hour 2 in a second.

Step 4 Duplicate the tracks. Use command + E to separate talk segments from musical works. Use markers to mark each segment. Name them in the manner that works for you.

Step 5 Duplicate the tracks and Listen to each segment for non-evergreen content, and edit out that content.

Step 6 After completing 5 or 6 episodes, determine what needs to be re-recorded and write up a script with that information. Schedule a recording session and make sure to ask for filler music and instrumentals.

Step 7 Name the recorded takes as best suites you, drag needed files into the audio files folder and begin editing them into the episodes where deemed necessary or appropriate after duplicating the tracks.

Step 8 Consolidate each hour into 3 parts, roughly 19 minutes long, with each each hour being roughly 57 minutes. Add filler music where needed. Name these parts MMGRS#E#H1P1, MMGRS3E#H1P2, MMGRS#E#H1P3, MMGRS#E#H2P1, MMGRS#E#H2P2, MMGRS#E#H2P3.

Step 9 Create 5 one minute (EXACTLY 60 SECONDS) instrumental beds from the instrumentals provided by the host. Name these beds MMGRS#E#H1B1, MMGRS#E#H1B2, MMGRS#E#H1B3, MMGRS#E#H2B1, MMGRS#E#H2B2
