Overview

Internal links are used in KDHX.org articles to link back to other items or articles on the KDHX website.

When using Internal links, you must use the Reverse URL lookup to translate your link into a usable format for publication. Using the actual URL from KDHX.org will result in an error for the user.

1. Copy the URL from a KDHX webpage, and paste it into the first field, and click on the Lookup button.

2. The form will return a translated URL; click on the Copy button to place this link in your clipboard.

3. Move to the Link screen in Joomla.

4. Paste this new link into the URL field of the Link window, making sure that the Protocol field contains <other>.

Band and Artist tags

All Band/Artist tags are found on KDHX.org using the following format:

KDHX URL - http://kdhx.org/tag/[NAME OF BAND/ARTIST]

Reverse URL - index.php?option=com_k2&lang=en&tag=[NAME]&task=tag&view=itemlist

These are used to link band and artist names in Content copy back to other tagged articles at KDHX.org.

Spaces should be filled with dashes (-) for URLS, and with a plus (+) in Reverse URLs.

example:

KDHX URL - http://kdhx.org/tag/those-darlins

Reverse URL - index.php?option=com_k2&lang=en&tag=Those+Darlins&task=tag&view=itemlist

Venue links

All Venue tags are found on KDHX.org using the following format:

KDHX URL - http://kdhx.org/calendar/[VENUE]

These are used to link venues in Content copy back to other tagged articles at KDHX.org.

Spaces should be filled with dashes (-) for URLS.

example: KDHX URL - http://kdhx.org/calendar/off-broadway
